Can my children accompany me to my appointment?
We ask that you do not bring children to your appointment where possible. We appreciate at times this may be difficult, therefore you may wish to bring another adult with you to supervise them in the waiting area whilst your exam is being performed.
Children of 16 years and under should be accompanied by an adult who is able to give consent or treatment if it is required.
Will I be able to get my results straight away?
Results will not be discussed with you at the time of your appointment, a report has to be formally written and verified before it is shared with the referrer and then the patient.
Who will I see?
The Medical Imaging Department is staffed by Consultant Radiologists who each have their own speciality, (Doctors trained in interpreting medical images). The rest of the team consists of Specialist Radiology Registrars, Radiographers, Advanced Practitioners, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Ultrasonographers, Student Radiographers, Radiology Assistants, Imaging Support staff (Porters), Apprentices and all-encompassing Administration staff.
