Academic departments

The Trust's academic departments have outstanding performance in leading research that answers key questions for patient care regionally, nationally and globally and will work to ensure researchers across the breadth of professions are supported. The academic departments have established excellence in many ways including the quality of their publications, the amount of research funding raised and the number of staff involved in research. Joint work between the Trust and the University of Exeter continues as a key factor in the work of the academic departments with many of the departments being co-led by University and NHS employed staff.聽
